The bride too asks for a promise from the groom that he will never infringe her right of a wife and as a daughter in law. Another such ritual is the Bidaai where the family member of the bride get very emotional when they have to send the bride away to a start a new life together with her husband and be a good daughter in law. All these customs and rituals are the ones that make a marriage complete and also are the start of a new journey of living life for both the families.
